GETC supplied dozens of stores across South East Asia — working with the tech retailers' procurement teams to design & supply a standard suite of furniture and custom display systems during a rebrand of all their store locations.

Contracted in the first planning stages of the redevelopment undertaking, the team at our head office in Shanghai provided their expertise, helping to develop an ideal mixture of differing merchandising systems and furniture items, ensuring the package supplied was suitable for the differing space allowances within the various store locations.

Working with teams early in the redevelopment plans ensured an intuitive design and a level of consistency was achieved across all the stores, helping to secure a strong return on investment once the rapidly growing retailer re-opened its doors to the public.

The majority of the items supplied were custom joinery display cases alongside a wide variety of furniture items. The dynamic requirements imposed by the complexity of the tech products the retailer distributes challenged our engineering team to design innovative and new merchandising fixtures—particularly for the various shape and sizes required for mobile phones and other telecommunication products. Allowances had to be carefully made for electrical connection points and anti-theft tethering security provisions.

The second component was the furniture items supplied, with a range of custom tables, benches and chairs for customers to use as they browse the store. Quality & finish were paramount for the furniture items due to the rigorous usage in the store environment.
